New developments

It looks like I will be shooting the Kansas City Improv Festival on the weekend of September 17 and 18.  It’s my highest profile gig yet — $25/ticket and includes actor Jason Sudeikis.  I’m pretty excited about the opportunity and hope that it’s high profile enough that it will bring more business my way.  If you’re in the KC area and are looking for something to do, you should definitely consider the show.  Out of the lineup, I’ve only seen The Trip Fives and Der Monkenpickel (Jason Sudeikis’s group) so far, but they are both awesome groups.  You will not be hurting for laughter at the show, I can guarantee that.

Also, in local news, and on the “artsier” side of my photography, I finally brought a canvas print of Going Home (pictured below), one of my favorite shots, to downtown martini bar Foster’s.  The owner, Nathan, loved it and is going to display it there, along with my name, contact info, and a price.  I’m considering getting more printed up.  He did say the bigger the better, so I might be shopping around for a good print service that can do large prints.  Like I said in an earlier message, I am disappointed in Mpix for volume printing, but for just a couple of prints I may be able to tolerate manually editing my canvas size in Photoshop.
